Adygeya (Lago-Naki)

Lago-Naki is one of the most beautiful locations in the highlands of Adygeya. Holidaymakers encounter here heavenly landscapes that embrace the seemingly bottomless lakes and ringing streams, roaring waterfalls and mysterious caves, magnificent peaks and blue glaciers, plains and alpine meadows, majestic forests and sheer cliffs.

In Lago-Naki you can easily find yourself in several climatic zones within one day. Such places are a rarity on the globe.

The other-worldly peaks and ridges of Lago-Naki are enchantingly attractive. It is absolutely impossible to resist their charm. Is there anything more romantic than the mountain tops painted in all shades of purple by the rising sun?

Lovers of adventures and emotional experiences will be surely thrilled by the fact that eons of years back the mountains of Lago-Naki were coral riffs at the bottom of the pre-historical Tetis ocean.

Lago-Naki is beautiful in any season and is a perfect place for vacationing any time of the year.

Undoubtedly, summer in Lago-Naki is the most fascinating and friendly season. You can always find refuge from the blistering sun near a cool alpine stream or in the shadows of primeval forest. In wintertime, the land is as beautiful. During the daytime, the sun shines so bright that you don’t feel the frost. Yet one can enjoy all the winter activities. You can play snowballs, ski, ride sleds and of course enjoy a nice cup of immensely tasty tea served from traditional samovar with local honey. Autumn paints the surrounding mountains in various shades of red, yellow, green and brown, - the rich bright delight for one’s eyes. In spring, the green palette begins a bit earlier as if trying to cheer us up with the spring warmth after the frosts.

In the area of Lago-Naki, there are several specially protected nature territories with limited access. On the rest of the territory visitors are offered numerous tourist routes, outdoor excursions and trips to waterfalls, dolmens, caves and other nature attractions. Alpine tourism, hiking, horse-back riding, mountain biking are widely practiced. Speleologists explore there various caves and karst fissures, alpinists – sheer cliffs, sky-rising peaks and wide glaciers.

Lago-Naki is a fast developing alpine ski resort with bright prospects. Its slopes can rival the best international alpine resorts, including the Swiss Lozano. Alpine landscapes are gorgeous, the air – exhilarating. Enthusiasts of active pastime tend to favor this resort more than any other. Almost all known types of winter sports can be practiced here: snowboard, alpine ski, sleds, hang glider, speleotourism, jeep safaris, rafting, etc
